BODYPUMP® HEAVY is a strength-training class that combines traditional weightlifting techniques with the high-energy atmosphere of a group fitness class, using slower tempos to focus on lifting heavier weights with longer recovery periods between sets. Unlike the original BODYPUMP®, which emphasizes fast-paced, high-rep movements for strength endurance, BODYPUMP® HEAVY uses a structure of simple, slow movements and heavy lifting to build strength, perfect technique, and make weightlifting more accessible. It features classic lifts like squats, lunges, and presses in sets of eight repetitions, with up to two minutes of recovery time. Ages 15+
