Yoga Fundamentals Workshop

This 2-hour Yoga Fundamentals Workshop is the perfect introduction to help you feel confident, informed, and comfortable as you begin or refresh your yoga journey. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or returning after time away, this workshop provides a supportive space to learn the basics, ask questions, and explore foundational postures at your own pace. You’ll be guided step-by-step through movement, breathwork, and alignment so that you can walk into a regular class feeling empowered and prepared. This is not just about doing yoga – it’s about understanding it, adapting it to your body, and building a practice that works for you.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • What yoga is and what to expect in our style of classes
  • Simple breathing techniques to support your practice
  • Key foundational poses and how to modify them for your body
  • How poses flow together in a typical class
  • Introduction to Sun Salutations A & B, standing poses, and hip openers
  • How to safely align yourself in postures
  • The joy of ending with a relaxing guided rest (savasana)

You’ll leave with:

  •  Confidence to join a group yoga class
  •  A better understanding of how yoga works
  •  New connections with others starting their journey

What to Bring:

  • Yoga mat (extras available if needed)
  • Towel
  • Water bottle
