Drop off School Supplies at Family Wellness for United Way School Supply Drive

Family Wellness is honored to be one of the official drop off sites for the 2017 United Way of Cass-Clay School Supply Drive! Last year, 5,854 local students were equipped with a backpack and set of school supplies because of the generosity of this community. While you are on your way to workout, please consider bringing in new school supplies to help local children. These supplies will help them to be successful in school and in life.

A LOOK BACK AT THE 2016 UNITED WAY SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE:
The 18th Annual United Way of Cass-Clay School Supply Drive kicked off in July of 2016 and we are happy to announce that 5,854 local students received backpacks full of supplies ready to start the school year. While we know that not all families who received backpacks access the Free & Reduced Lunch program, 79% of those who did receive backpacks last year self-reported being enrolled. In the combined Cass & Clay county school districts there are 9,660 children that are utlilizing the Federal Free & Reduced Lunch program.

Thanks to the incredible support from the community, in the last 5 years, over 25,632 backpacks full of brand new school supplies have been distributed to local Cass and Clay County K-12 grade students. The United Way School Supply Drive exists to remove one barrier that local families have to learning. We know that when a child goes to school with the tools they need on the first day they are prepared to learn.
