Summer Cooking Classes

Kids & Family Cooking Classes: $10 Members/ $18 Non-Members. Ages 5+, 5-7 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Up to 2 kids per adult. Please register for classes at least 48 hours in advance of the start of the class.

Adult Cooking Classes: Ages 15+, $10 Members / $18 Non-Members

Freezer to Grill Meals with Nicolle D, Healthy Cooking Instructor 
Monday, June 19th from 6:30-7:30 PM 
You provide the meat, and we will provide the rest! We will assemble 3 marinades for steak, chicken, and pork. No need to bring the meat to class. You can add the meat at home before you place in the freezer. When you are ready to grill, thaw the meat in the refrigerator the night before.

Grilled Veggies with Melissa, Healthy Cooking Instructor 
Tuesday, June 20th from 6:30-8:00 PM 
The grill is a great tool to add new flavor to your vegetables. Let’s learn a few new ways to prepare vegetables on the grill. We will be making a grilled Caesar salad, marinated zucchini, and Brussels sprout kebabs!

Patriotic Fruit Pizza with Nicolle D, Healthy Cooking Instructor 
Monday, June 26th from 6:00-7:00 PM 
Bake a cookie crust (made healthier) and top it with red, white and blue fruit to honor our country’s birthday!

Kabob Krazy with Nicolle D, Healthy Cooking Instructor 
Monday, July 10th from 6:00-7:00 PM 
Learn how to slice veggies, fruits and meat. Then, we will assemble the kabobs and grill. 

Cauliflower Fried Rice and Spring Rolls with Melissa, Healthy Cooking Instructor 
Tuesday, July 11th from 6:30-8:00 PM 
Cut the carbs by using cauliflower instead of rice! Learn to make a healthier alternative to fried rice and some delicious spring rolls for a fresh summer meal.

Banana-Rama! with Nicolle D, Healthy Cooking Instructor 
Monday, July 24th from 6:00-7:00 PM 
We will use bananas to make healthy ice cream, frozen chocolate, nut butter bites, and a smoothie!

Homemade Ice Cream with Melissa, Healthy Cooking Instructor 
Tuesday, July 25th from 6:30-8:00 PM 
Adults get to have fun with desserts too! Let’s cool down with some delicious homemade ice creams with a healthy twist. We will be making a dairy free coconut ice cream and a strawberry frozen yogurt.

Turkey Taco Boats with Nicolle D, Healthy Cooking Instructor

Kids love tacos! We will learn some healthy tips (lettuce wraps, low-fat cheese and ground turkey) to make them love them even more.
